Chinese Wedding Traditions and customs

How many days do I have to wait after the death of a close relative before I can hold My Wedding?
According to chinese custom/tradition, immediate family members of the deceased are not supposed to attend or hold any form of celebrations within a 100 days. My father-in-law to be passed away recently and the date of my wedding is fixed 3 mths away. But some of the Chinese folks debated that the wedding should be held within the next 100 days which doesn’t make sense! Please help
Elaboration:
Obviously, it’s my fiancee’s dad who passed away. If he can’t have the wedding within/after the next 100 days, neither can I. Our Wedding Day‘s fixed but date can be changed and hence the dilemma
Thank you for all your help. However, what I really need to know is if it is customarily correct to be ok to hold the wedding before or after the 100th day?
Confucius fixed the observance periods for mourning one’s parents in order to ensure that proper respect is observed. Laozi noted that, while everyone is busy measuring society’s standards of proper respect, true respect and love get lost.
What would your soon-to-be wife’s father have had you do? Would he rather you have a wonderful, joyful wedding, or would he prefer that you cancel the entire thing because he died a few days too early? That should be your guide.
I’m sorry for your loss, and 恭喜你們!
